Every other shop system starts at the work order — it assumes you already know the job. Overhaul doesn't work like that. The scope is discovered on the strip bay floor, and it changes. Anvil starts at the finding and builds the job from what was actually there.

The wash bay has no signal, the inspector has oily gloves, and the component moves before anyone gets back to a desk. Measurements are checked against wear limits as they're typed, so an out-of-tolerance bore is flagged where the component is standing — not a week later when it's already in the queue.

A finding isn't a job until someone has priced it and the customer has agreed to it. Findings roll straight into a work scope with hours, rates and the parts the repair actually needs — no re-keying into an estimating spreadsheet, no second version of the truth. When the scope grows mid-job, the revision carries the reason with it.

Heavy industry never had to, so the evidence sits in folders, phones and someone's memory — until a warranty claim is disputed and nobody can find it. Verify closes the loop: sign-off by name, post-repair NDT recorded against the finding that raised it, and a release certificate generated from the record rather than assembled by hand.
